Just saw a post by someone(male) who was proudly proclaiming he had signed up for the new Your Party and his second wish for it was for it was that they kept the 'trans cult' out. My hope is that they show the transphobes the door and shut them firmly out.

On reflection, I realise my post might have come across as disrespectful. What I should have said is that *Sir* Keir Starmer can fuck off from a great height. My apologies for any offence caused.

A few years ago, Keir Starmer suggested Jeremy Corbyn wasn't pro-immigration enough.

Now Starmer sounds like Enoch Powell.

Just heard from a friend, Labour member for over 50 years, who says latest full-on Enoch Powell remarks are the last straw and she's going to quit.
I'll be honest I knew Starmer would be one of the most right wing Prime Ministers in living memory but going full on far right is shocking.

Keir Starmer denies pushing anti-migrant policies in order to chase Reform, saying that "I'm doing this because it is right, because it is fair and because it is what I believe".

A reminder of what he said he believed when he was running for Labour leader.

Yes, ending Israel's genocide and apartheid means we need those who haven't spoken out to do so.

But you really have to ask:

How are you only just realising this?

Why has it taken 19 months of genocidal depravity for you to reach this screamingly obvious conclusion?

I thoroughly recommend you check out Kit's wonderful anthology (and not just because I have a piece in it!)
International Workers' Day is a celebration of labourers and the working classes on 1 May. I chose that day to publish Common People, memoirs of working class lives from both well known and new writers. A privilege to work with them all. So proud of this.

Link below.

Please share :)

Working-class stories are not always tales of the underprivileged and dispossessed. Common People is a collection of essays, poems and memoir written in celebration, not apology: these are narratives ...

His vision for the future - bankrolled by climate-deniers and polluters enriches himself and depletes the finite resources we depend upon.

Our vision of green jobs, cheap energy and a liveable planet enriches everyone.

The idea that trans women should use men’s toilets, and trans men should use women’s toilets, is completely absurd and unworkable.

Research has shown that half of trans people fear using toilets as it is.

All of this will simply help drive trans people out of society.

Bridget Phillipson’s comments come after a long-awaited Supreme Court ruling last week that trans women are not legally women under the 2010 Equality Act

In countries like Spain and Ireland, trans rights and women’s rights rose together.

In countries like the US and Hungary, trans rights and women’s rights have reversed together.

If they’re in contradiction, why are these rights rising or falling together?

Imagine just half the energy campaigning against trans rights had been put into

- Fighting the underfunding of women’s refuges

- Fighting for single mums

- Fighting for low-paid women

Compared to fighting trans rights, which would have had most impact on women’s lives?

It’s up to those who stand by trans people to make sure their lives are as easy, comfortable and safe as possible under any legal reality.
