I think the news of Capcom going back to Ace Attorney all but confirms that the leak of a 7th mainline entry starting development in 2020, whether true or not, was not the case for long.

PokĂŠmon that have little sprite animations before freezing on a signature pose opens the door to have room to lighten the work load, pixel art of a building rather than specular maps for every window on its model... PokĂŠmon has downsized but not in ways I feel it has benefitted from.

I do not believe PokĂŠmon needs to be this triple A game standing shoulder to shoulder with games like Xenoblade and Zelda, I don't even think it needs to be a game that uses 3D models. I truly believe PokĂŠmon is at its best when it is lightweight.

I wish I had the platform and the drive to make a proper write-up on what I believe I would do to reboot the PokĂŠmon games, but I also feel that the longer the series goes on, the less compatible that vision is with its current fan base.

This is nice, I just have to wonder if Capcom knows how to make games in other artstyles now or if the RE Engine is forcing them to go full realism.

This is nice, I just have to wonder if Capcom knows how to make games in other artstyles now or if the RE Engine is forcing them to go full realism.
