This weekend, the Meta Ad Library turns seven, and the first ads in it, from back in 2018, will start to disappear. It would be trivial for Meta to keep a permanent archive of political ads, and they should. Here's more on that:

I am still wrapping my head around Google's announcement to stop political advertising in the EU in 2025.

The decision to stop is allegedly due to regulation's broad definition of what a political ad is. But this is problematic.
