Age of consent was supposed to be so teens can have developmentally appropriate relationships with each other not so grown ass adults can justify their grooming & coercion of girls younger than their baby sisters

I remember when I was promoting my first book, “Diary of a Young Black Girl”, I got these responses a lot. So many “well what about the boys?” Many of the poems in the book are enjoyable regardless of gender.
