I think this post is a really good one to read and is crucial to the conversations about the way we gender things that literally have nothing to do with gender and how that socializes all of us.

I appreciate being able to inspire and impact young girls and women through my writings and work. But it isn’t just for women and girls, it is for boys and men. It is for people who are gender non-conforming. It is for all who are looking for a good book to read.

The title comes from the fact that I am the author. And yet, seeing the word “girl” on the cover, especially with an image of a young woman, says to many “this will be good for young girls”.
