The Netherlands has decided to suspend participation of Georgian government officials in our Matra Rule of Law Training Programme. A difficult but necessary step in reaction to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Georgia and the course of the authorities. 1/2

Eight protesters detained during the February 2 demonstration near Tbilisi Mall now face criminal charges, as their case has been reclassified from an administrative offense. GD started applying the hardened law it adopted specifically to counter that protest.
