I never would have guessed at the time that Vision Thing would end up being my Sisters Of Mercy comfort album, but here we are 🖤
Vision Thing is one of those odd albums that sounds better now than it did at the time. Eldritch sounds like he’s mostly having a bit of a laugh on this one, “learning to cry for fun and profit”. The title track, Ribbons, More, and the existential angst of When You Don’t See Me are all highlights.
