RIP David Lynch, one of my all-time favourite movie directors. I will never forget the first time I saw a Lynch film - Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me - on the big screen, as an impressionable teenager. Changed my life forever.

It’s been great visiting Pōneke. @misswhanau.bsky.social was upfront & said we’d face construction woes/infrastructure issues. If there are problems it’s due to central govt cuts. Nicola Willis should be ashamed to show her face in public. But they can’t stop Welly being the greatest city in NZ!

Derek Jarman: Delphinium Days at The Dowse Art Museum (in partnership with City Gallery Wellington Te Whare Toi). Great to see some of his artworks in person. I always enjoyed his feature films, usually starring Tilda Swinton.

Cash on Demand is a masterpiece! Slickly made on a modest budget, this is one of Hammer's very best thrillers, with Peter Cushing's performance of the austere man, to whom efficiency matters most, truly outstanding. If only I was in L.A. for this one!
