Sometimes, you find a scene that makes you grin! The pop of yellow colour from the birches, the wisps of lingering mist, the texture in the bark of the pines.

Looking forward to fall in the Appalachian mountains. The color and conditions can be tremendous if you time it right!

With Meta being a hot mess, it seems high time to explore alternatives and new audiences. So greetings, nice to see some familiar faces and some new names!

Some of the most intense morning light I have witnessed looking down towards Kintail. A narrow gap on the horizon gave me just a few minutes to photograph this tree. It was exceptionally windy and I only just made it!

This is perhaps the most outrageous thing I've ever captured. A moonbow (rainbow made from moonlight rather than sunlight), with snow (rather than rain) with the northern lights behind it. A Polar Lunar Snowbow?

Holding on to the last remnants of winter here in Southern Appalachia. This one is from a few years back in the local mountains. Still hoping we might get lucky with one more snow.

Wonderful interaction between the morning light, mist and the Caledonian forest. Sometimes best viewed from above ( rom a mountain not a drone). The midges were horrendous but I have managed to largely detach that experience from the photograph.

"Thanksgiving"
Colorado Plateau, 2019

If you forced me to select my favorite photo I've ever made, this would be the first one to come to mind. I titled it Thanksgiving because of its color palette, but also because so many great things were happening in my life that I was immensely grateful for.
