A good reminder of why electing people like @katmabu.bsky.social is important - one of the precious few who may hold high office that are on the street. when ICE came to Chicago it was her, and some alderpeople, and that’s about it.
the leaders of the civil rights era could not propose or veto legislation. they had no "power." but they had legitimacy because they were out there. Letter from a Birmingham Jail was written...FROM JAIL. But with these guys "Hey it's crazy right now and we can't do much, but give us money." LOL ok.

Maybe this guy who got arrested at the Wisconsin Governor’s mansion had just died to Governor Evers 30-40 times as a tank build and decided to shed the armor and come back as a light-rolling glass cannon. At least he’s not summoning.
