There are at least three things in this 55 seconds that are disqualifying:
1. Standing up didn’t work
2. His inability, like many of his elderly senate peers, to speak lucidly.
3. The glibness about ICE getting paid
He acts like a spectator.

Yeah, I think we’ve seen that athletes who fall into this stuff are often in some dire personal debt despite their income. Just saying that ESPN’s corporate sponsorships likely incent them to not state the obvious (Clase did not do this for just $12k, but likely more often for, in aggregate more $$$

I think the obvious answer is that if they did this small thing for such relatively small sums, its Far more likely they did this dozens of times and not twice.

If we do the 1:1 LOTR allegory to WW2 game, it seems cleaner to say “DEI buddies (elves! hobbits! dwarves! men! giant birds! fucking TREES) unite behind the moral courage of the basic every man to defeat the eugenicist tyrant” not “normal people hide under the skirt of musclemen with swords”

“Lake County Democrats” are people that have strong opinions about the danger of my city and our governance while expatriating their salary to their segregation suburbs and scolding us to vote for whatever republican is running for mayor disguised As a Democrat, so this is par for the course.

As someone who attended a rival HS of Hotchkiss (a different obnoxious NE prep school) I’d say that fact alone disqualifies him from having a blue collar upbringing

This is really good. I’d also note none of these Marty biopics are “about” the subject the way Ray is just a summary of Charles’ life. Raging Bull is a profile of a man who grooms, abuses, and exploits underaged women - a theme in Taxi Driver and Casino and others
