Fire and Ice
Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Animal noses close up for #AlphabetChallenge #WeekCForCloseUp

I don't know what to do with my anger and grief today. The animals are a comfort.

A look back at Texas Snowmaggedon 2021. We got mocked for not being able to handle a little snow but it was the worst infrastructure failure in TX history and almost 5 million homes/businesses were without electricity for days, many without water. Deregulation for billionaires. #BlueskyArtShow #Cold

We're more normal cold in Colorado but I'm thinking of everyone hunkered down and stuck at home! Stay safe and warm.
I documented Maisie's first attempt at leaving the patio to pee in the fresh snow and 0º F for #BlueskyArtShow #Cold.

I love this map and how @gelliottmorris.com splits cities out of otherwise lower approval counties.

I think of all the shade Texas gets but know that the story is not about a bunch of dumb Texans. My precinct in central Austin was above 90% anti-Trump. I was shocked when I moved to purple CO.

When there are winds gusting above 60 mph and sand blowing like this, having a community rec center with an indoor track is a great thing.
Northern Colorado flatland is real high desert plain.

A sunrise #scape. We're fairly urban or completely suburban where we live in Colorado but out the back, across the cornfield, we get stunning sunrises almost every morning and beautiful golden hours almost every evening. The line of big houses adds to the interest.

I just texted my daughter about their wind today and she said, "It's a bit blustery".
The story continues (briefly) in the alt text.

I have loved this comic since the first time I saw it years ago. I love the #vibrant sunset and the message. I know that many people participating in the #BlueskyArtShow have already seen it but it's one I never regret revisiting.

We celebrated the first snow (not much of it) since the first week of October with Colorado trout and eggs at Vern's Place. It's a thing.

3:34 the other morning, I picked up my phone to check the time and managed to take this picture. The phone picked up the slight light from the air filter and the humidifier.

I know I photographed this at Galería Talavera de la Reyna in Puebla, Mexico. It seems to be art made from broken pottery pieces but I can't remember the details now. I do know I love it and it has meaning.

Kind of a weird post but if you struggle to find good chicken, humanely and organically raised, I've been buying from this company for years. First it was local (central Texas) but now they ship very quickly, as well.

I just thought I'd let people know they have a 20% off sale going on!
