It's all over but the crying.
All signs point to #Crew96 coach Wilfried Nancy being named the next manager of Celtic FC of the Scottish Premiership by the end of the weekend. My piece is posted with the paywall removed. Have a nice day.

Is the picture below the last post-game photo of Wilfried Nancy as Crew coach?

I was getting way ahead of myself dreaming of a #Crew96 ECF trip to Charlotte (family in the area), but uh, it's not the Crew who are ruining that idea.

Woah woah woah, Jacen Russell-Rowe!!! #Crew96

Yep yep yep, let's do that again. #Crew96

I am going to Columbus for Hell Is Real tonight and I am excited. 💛🖤💛

Well that was a bummer. Certainly didn't see many #Crew96 players at their best (Patrick came up big), so I'm not super concerned. But I'm also not sure what changes you make to get them at their best. Need more from the wingbacks, but really just need everyone to level up.

Won't make it to Cincy tomorrow night but very excited to have babysitting taken care of for game 2 next Sunday. #Crew96

Bummer way to end it for the Pacers, you gotta like what you saw. Plenty to work on, but without Haliburton & TJM they were still very much in it. I hope Mathurin is this good every night.

I know winning is something Darlington Nagbe just does, but there is a very real Rule of 5 going on. #Crew96 are winning MLS Cup this year. Get on the hype train.

(and don't bring logic into this)

After last night's #Crew96 game...looked alive against Orlando, looked like the Crew against Red Bulls, and now we get FCC in the first round? Plus we've got the "win it for the captain vibes"?

(Please don't talk me out of my spot in the Sunshine Brigade.)

I know nothing about NorOnTour or scheduling, but there are some very reasonably priced tickets for game 1 against the orange team. Like <$60 each when I think the regular season was priced at >$90.

#Crew96 fans, need your help!

Me & the 5 year old are coming to the game tomorrow night, but had plans to stop in Dayton & go to the Air Force Museum (one of his favorite places). It's currently closed bc of gov't shutdown. Any other aviation themed recommendations that wouldn't be impacted?

Random question... looking for an 3D printer to make HO scale model train buildings. Are there any recommendations for < $200?

Well, if Nagbe's gonna hang 'em up, this #Crew96 team only has one choice about how to handle the playoffs:

The greatest number 8 in MLS history, certainly since the expansion era kicked off.

A centerpiece on four different MLS Cup winners - very few players of any position can claim that status, but nobody else did it at three different clubs.
BREAKING: Columbus Crew midfielder and MLS legend Darlington Nagbe is retiring after the 2025 MLS season, per sources.

Nagbe, 35, is a four-time MLS Cup winner (2015, 2018, 2020, 2023) with three clubs (Portland, Atlanta, Columbus).

One of MLS's best-ever midfielders 👏

What a career Darlington Nagbe has had.

After the Crew won MLS Cup in 2023 I was covering the celebrations in the locker room.

Two different champagne-soaked Crew staffers made sure to tell me:

“He’s the best fucking player this league has seen. You can fucking tweet that.”

Promise I don't have inside info. Wish I was wrong. 😭
This is from 2023 EC Finals and Nagbe talks about 2025 possibly being his last year. Says "it's 2 years and an option, we'll see if they want me around after that." IMO, ball is completely in his court. Wouldn't say I'm expecting him to retire, but also wouldn't be that surprised if he does.

Well, it wasn't perfect, but I watched a team that looked like the #Crew96 I've come to enjoy under Wilfried Nancy and that's a significant improvement vs the last two months (save for 45 minutes in Atlanta) so I'll take it.
October 5, 2025 at 1:37 AM
Yep yep yep, that was good. Do it again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again .
October 5, 2025 at 12:13 AM
That's a bad decision to give a yellow card. Rough collision for sure, but there was nothing malicious or unfair about it IMO. #Crew96
