280 municipalities and regional collaboratives across the state were awarded over $4 million in grants today. The Sustainable Materials Recovery Program (SMRP) boosts resiliency, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and makes it easier for residents to minimize waste.

MassDEP recently joined Wildlands Trust & Appalachian Mountain Club, Southeast Mass Chapter, with support from Brockton DPW, for a community litter cleanup at D.W. Field Park to keep the scenic park beautiful. Together, we gathered 30 bags — over 1,000 pounds — of litter! 🍂🗑️
