With the recent news that Microsoft admitted US law supercedes any data even in international data centers this could be critical. They sold their datacenter in Toronto to Canadian governments as a way to keep data sovereignty and privacy but clearly that's not the case.
Carney says the newly created Major Projects Office will also be asked to assist in the development of a "Canadian Sovereign Cloud."
The idea is to build data centres and computing capacity "in a way that ensures the country's competitiveness and digital sovereignty."

So...$163 million drop from losing the carbon tax revenue which was apparently the most important thing on the planet to get rid of, and only $30 million drop from low oil prices. You can't make this shit up. Gas prices aren't even much cheaper since nobody seemed to have noticed after the fanfare.
