This essay argues that both imperial intervention and parts of the Western left end up silencing Iran’s grassroots movements. Rejecting intervention for the wrong reasons risks overlooking Iran’s civil society and its autonomy.

I don’t know how my loved ones in Iran have made it through the past 12 days! They’re safe for now but terrified, caught between relentless airstrikes & a regime that silences anyone who speaks out. The ceasefire meant nothing. People’s lives are still held hostage.
No to war. No to totalitarianism.

A word of wisdom from my 6-year-old daughter:

"Your thoughts fade away from one minute to another!"

This is why I procrastinate writing until the last minute; so, I can capture the closest version of my thoughts on paper. At least now I have a quasi-philosophical justification for it!

Just finished "Small Things Like These" by Claire Keegan—a short yet powerful novel that resonates deeply, especially given the horrific history of the Magdalene Laundries.

I wonder why the film adaptation didn’t receive a good reception. I’m curious to watch it.

Blue Monday is, in fact, grey -especially in London!

That said, it’s entirely a capitalist invention designed to encourage you to spend more, while retailers are the ones "feeling blue" because you’re out of pocket after the "festive" season.

Some relevant philosophical concepts which have made the leap into policy discussions include ‘epistemic injustice,’ ‘epistemic oppression’ and ‘epistemology of ignorance’.

In all three cases, excluding members of marginalised groups from knowledge production harms them
