This is a great time to remember that for the millions of people impacted by tonight’s storms, your government will not be helping you with storm recovery (see Arkansas last week). It could help you, it chooses not to. It fired all those people so it could give tax relief to billionaires.

Any 8th grader can tell you that 10 provinces make up Canada and so would create 10 more states, not one. That would be 20 senators, and something like 25 congressmen, which will largely vote left of center. Canada has no desire to join, but if they did, it would fundamentally change our elections.
