Having read about yet another Federal agency (HUD) getting the treatment, this is my thought:

We need the Democratic Party to be an effective opposition party. They should be on top of the destruction that Don and Musk are perpetrating.

The government is shut down because Trump and the Republicans are hellbent on taking health care away from you.

And they won’t even come to the table to talk to us about it.

This is not about politics. It's about people.

Let’s break it down:

I am deeply disturbed by the shooting in Utah. Doug and I send our prayers to Charlie Kirk and his family.

Let me be clear: Political violence has no place in America. I condemn this act, and we all must work together to ensure this does not lead to more violence.

Think about what the GOP is revealing with their attempt to suddenly change the Congressional maps: they know their agenda is so unpopular that they're going to lose unless something changes.

Of course, what they should be changing is their policies, not the maps.

Lovely. The first GOP congress-person to speak out against what’s going in Gaza as a genocide is the “Jewish Space Laser” dingbat. This does *not* make me feel safer.

Imagine that! Logic and reality are missing from Donald’s latest ranting.
So the current story from the president is that Those Damn Dirty Democrats created the Epstein Files, put a bunch of incriminating stuff about him in there and then … never released it?

@schumer.senate.gov @kirstengillibrand.bsky.social You and the rest of the Democratic leadership needs to denounce this is no uncertain terms.

This young kestrel has been hanging out in Park Slope for at least a week. I asked the Wild Bird Fund about it and got this reply:

As long as the bird has some or most of its feathers, and is able to stand up and walk or hop, then it does not need any help.

A young American kestrel was chilling next to a stoop in Park Slope. It let me get close enough to take this photo with my phone. Weird!

Much to my relief, it flew away soon after.

@nytimes.com

It is inexcusable you could write this article and not mention that the No Kings protests dwarfed the crowds for Trump’s little birthday parade. Do better.

I don’t want to read about a former President’s mental decline because a journalist got a book deal.

I want to read a report about the current President’s mental decline by a journalist brave enough to speak out now.

It was bad enough when Trump and his cronies set up a crypto scheme where by people could funnel money to the president. Now, evidently, if you funnel enough money to him, you get access. Somehow, that’s not enough for the New York Times to call it corruption. No, it’s only “potential corruption“. 🙄
Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

Kinda insane and shows how afraid the networks are of upsetting this administration that a guy who killed 7 people and wounded 48 with “47” literally tattooed on his face has all but been forgotten like there’s still not a very serious threat emanating from every pore of this pathetic cult

RFK Jr.’s lies about autism are disgraceful — and I won't share them to spread misinformation.

He consistently undermines public health and reinforces dangerous myths.

In Illinois, we stand with those with autism, and I’ll keep fighting for inclusion, science, and the truth.
