Well, it's a little clearer now why billionaires are so invested in technology that produces better written emails.

The back & forth over this is gonna get wiiiild. H1-Bs are a must have for the tech reich to exploit labor, but absolutely LOATHED by the new "almost good enough at computers to get paid" part of the new right-wing coalition and a certain Stephen Miller who hates all things immigration.
Trump calls H-1B visas necessary to bring in 'certain talents' that he says the U.S. lacks
In an interview with Fox News, Trump said that in some cases, "You can’t take people off an unemployment, like an unemployment line, and say, 'I’m going to put you into a factory.'"

Seeing some beautiful photos of aurorae tonight, so here's a reminder that other planets get them, too!

This is Saturn, with aurorae visible at both poles in this UV image from Hubble's Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph, taken in October 1997 when the planet was 1.3 billion km away.

If there's a dark horse candidate to love this thing way more than I could predict it's the oldest. He's autistic & very proud of knowing all the planets & moons.

This poster has ~1K of 6K known exoplanets. May be throwing gasoline on a bonfire here.
Delivery for the Big Build tomorrow (too cold today to be outside & still a little too windy because if it blew over & got messed up I would cry a little)!

The boys will probably touch everything once then run off with the markers, but I know my sister will really love it.

Practically a neighbor &, as with our own galaxy as we've learned, probably teeming with planets, and those planets with moons.

There's every chance there is life throughout the universe, from tool users to deep crust salt metabolizers, but they all share 1 thing:

They fuckin' HATE Chuck Schumer.
A spiral galaxy, observed with the Apache Point 2.5m Telescope in the SDSS survey.

It is at redshift 0.008 (lookback time 114.4 million years) with coordinates (148.12364, 2.15445).

55 volunteers classified this galaxy in Galaxy Zoo 2.

Blame *all* Democratic incumbents for this surrender. Not just the ones voting for it. The others could have voted to remove Schumer long ago and install a leader capable of formulating a strategy and holding his people together. They were content to stay with a proven loser.
I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.

Any Democratic senator, at any moment, could've derailed this by calling for Schumer's replacement and casting their colleagues as MAGA collaborators, thereby shifting the Overton window. But they're all in on it. This was always a team effort.

No one should ever run unopposed, even in a primary. A healthy debate and informing the public of different ideas and opinions strengthens all democracies.

And one long-shot picking off a greybeard keeps the fear of God in the rest of them.
reminder to any ambitious Dems waiting in the wings: announcing a primary challenge right now to a squishy Democrat who’s up in 2026, whether they voted tonight to shine Trump’s shoes or not, will almost instantaneously be awash in cash. fortune—and a primary challenge—favors the bold.
