A decent EE friend spent 3 yrs of his life trying to use "AI" to get a few electric buggies to clean solar panels.

They would crash into the panels, each other, wander into the desert, stop & die in despair, & on rare occasions bump into a panel with a brush.

But non-existent robots can do this?🤦‍♀️
Musk posits a hypothetical scenario where Optimus robots could build a rare earth refinery, but they would need an "orchestra conductor" to guide that work, which is where Grok would come in.

So basically, Grok would replace Tesla management?

Tesla will unveil Optimus 3 in a few months, which Musk says "will surprise people." It's not clear how, considering he's set expectations at "will be able to do anything, and usher in a post-scarcity utopia that overturns the laws of economics" but I guess we'll see.

I'm a few minutes behind the live call, but here's my Q4 Tesla earnings call "live thread"!

We start out with Elon announcing that Tesla's mission has changed to "Amazing Abundance," which represents a pivot from the "Sustainable Abundance" tagline he announced last year.

Is Uranus icy? Or is it rocky? New modelling suggests that the composition of the outer planets (Uranus + Neptune) could be radically different from what we previously assumed. But if we want to know for sure, we'll have to send a spacecraft to investigate. 🔭⚛️🧪 physicsworld.com/a/uranus-and...

Majority of the country now wants to abolish and/or dismantle ICE and yet Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. told the caucus the message had to be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

Once again it looks like Schumer is about to choke after getting a massive opportunity.

So pathetic and weak.

They are sitting by the phone waiting anxiously for their billionaire handlers to call and tell them that is/is not exactly what they should do.
The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced the Democrats have to push their hand immediately. The parallels with the delays and subsequent failures after January 6th are blaring warning signs about what will happen if they don’t go after the issues with ICE and CBP at the root RIGHT NOW.

Everybody who's spent the last few years "vibing" their way through public health about to get a very buzz-harshing lesson in what an extremely contagious airborne virus can do.
🚨 This should alarm everyone.

The #UK has lost measles elimination status — not because vaccines failed, but because vaccination rates fell.

The US is on track to lose it too.

#Measles is highly contagious, dangerous, and vaccine-preventable.

No dollar, no vote, not a drop of your attention to any political candidate who isn't screaming for prosecutions up and down the chain. Not one fucking dime.
And what is happening inside ICE detention centers? 404 Media also learned that the federal government claimed that the day after it was sued for allegedly abusing detainees at an ICE detention center, a “system crash” deleted nearly two weeks of surveillance footage from inside the facility.
