“The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.” — Alice Walker

Even if you don’t feel it, every act of resistance matters. From where you spend your money to refusing to be silent, no act is too small.

We are 2 for 2 with echinoderms for #fossilfriday!

Here is an absolutely beautiful regular sea urchin known as Desoricidaris pouyannei. This specimen comes from the Lower Cretaceous (Cenomanian) rocks of Taouz, Morocco. The preservation of the test (body) is absolutely stunning even after 100 mya!

Here’s the recipe for the banana snacking cake that I just posted photos of. I’ll write the recipe out in the ALT description in case this is a bit hard to read.

I had some bananas that were past their ‘use before’ date, lol, so I made them into Banana Snacking cake. This is a quick and easy recipe for delicious snacks right out of the oven or frozen for later use. These freeze beautifully & once thawed they are as good as if you just made them!

This is the new playbook:
Commit misconduct -> claim persecution -> sue the government -> cash out.

If this becomes normalized, every corrupt official will try to hit taxpayers with their legal bills. And yet somehow, almost no one is talking about it.

Unbelievable. Trump-aligned figures are now trying to raid the U.S. Treasury by turning their own criminal and unethical conduct into giant payout claims and the DOJ is actually entertaining it.

A timeline cleanser: My recent newsletter is about rise of "repair cafes" around the world, where communities come together to fix each other's beloved things. The goal: reduce consumer waste, and maybe make some buddies in the process 🔧👭

Yellow-breasted buntings perched on a grape vine. Love the fall colors on the leaves. Our vines are looking like this meaning it’s time for pruning.🥰

We stand with Rep. Jasmine Crockett in calling for an end to voting machines owned by Dominion. Our voting systems should never be controlled by anyone aligned with MAGA politics. It’s time to push for statewide bans on these machines.
