It’s crazy that I’ve never seen The Church play live before but I rectified that last night. The first date of their Singles tour was wonderful. I have such warm memories of their songs going back to The Unguarded Moment in 1981. It’s worth catching them if you can get a ticket!

It's November & it's way past time I got my writing under control. Here's my plan:
1. Finish novel #3 this weekend (7 scenes, ~3500 words)
2. Finish the first draft of novel #2 in 2025 (from 39,000 words to 80,000 words)
3. Publish either before June 2026
4. Rewrite novel #1. Publish by end of 2026

This. We’ve lost so much since the heyday of 80s comedy in this country.
We look on from Australia with horror at US late night comedy being cancelled, then note that we don’t even have a tv network prepared to invest in late night comedy. When our ABC tries it, they back down after a couple of complaints from the IPA about “bias” or “offence”.

I find the beauty of writing in the rhythm. And there's nothing better than a semi-colon—or an em dash, while we're at it—to perfectly punctuate a piece of prose.
Aficionado of the semi colon here.
Drives me spare American journalists don't use it.
I silently add it in my head in their lists using endless commas.
