Horror. I’m particularly taken with folk horror atm.

I'm working my way towards finishing a short story collection. Here's my new WIP: The Replacement. A female doctor, haunted by a death she couldn't prevent, takes a job at a remote Queensland town in 1978 and is unnerved by the strange devotion shown to her by the townsfolk. #amwriting #writersky

I completely redesigned my writer's website and published it today. Last night, I walked into the Moonah forest near me and took a photo of the trees. It's the cover picture on the home page. Take a look: marksperry.com #Authors #Writing #WritingCommunity #WriterLife #WriterSky ##HorrorLit

This is a great article. I looked into doing a creative writing diploma or degree and gagged at the cost. It’s a terrible situation that needs to change, urgently. www.theguardian.com/artanddesign...

Yeah, this resonates with me. I'm similar—I first heard of them with "Green" and I worked through their back catalogue from there. Loved it all. "Finest Working" is the one I'd add to your list.

Cheers! All the best for your writing too.

Congrats on a stellar year! What you do is very appreciated. Have a restful break and see you in January.

I’m saying the data doesn’t flow through ConnectID at all. ConnectID introduces the relying party to the identity provider, and tells them they are both certified participants.

LDAP -> SAML -> OAuth -> FIDO -> OIDC -> FAPI -> VC. The digital identity alphabet soup.

So much for working on my writing tonight!

Well it’s only taken 25 years or so, but finally, my reasonably obscure area of IT is in the news and I’m able to talk to people about it on here!
November 24, 2025 at 8:28 AM
ConnectID doesn’t see or store any consumer data. It’s the network operator, setting the standards, connecting the relying parties and the four major banks (aka identity providers), all of whom are certified by ConnectID.

Happy to answer any other questions you might have. Most of my career has been in digital identity.
November 24, 2025 at 8:13 AM
Yes it does. It’s based on FAPI 2.0, which is underpinned by OpenID Connect.
November 24, 2025 at 8:03 AM
They are not the same thing at all. ConnectID in Australia is an Australian company, not associated with the one in the article you posted.
