My answer is lawsuit! Doesn’t Trump already have a pending lawsuit against them? Anytime the media reports the truth, they have a lawsuit thrown at them, and may have to face a Trump appointed conflicted judge!
The question everyone is asking right now is this: NYT had deep access into all of this in real time and reported none of it. Why? In consequence, no NYT reporting on this subject is trustworthy.

The courts have ordered the release of 85% of detainees who were arrested without warrant! Boveno has moved on to Charlotte and New Orleans after being kicked out of Chicago due to excessive abuse.
