Yes! And thus is one of the few prizes I really look forward to, sure in the knowledge I’m going to discover some really interesting writing. Last night absolutely confirmed this.
One of the aspects I like most about this prize is the solidarity between the writers. I felt the guys on stage, last night, were generous & thoughtful & responsive to one another. Definitely a northern feel to the Goldie this year! Good luck, all. X
@benpester.bsky.social, Sarah Hall, @cdrose.bsky.social & @ericawgnr.bsky.social on stage last night @southbankcentre.bsky.social.

Colwill Brown, @yrsadaleyward.bsky.social & Charlie Porter contributed in virtual form.

Thanks to everyone for a stimulating evening of readings and discussion.

Simultaneously very happy and crestfallen to be part of this Open Letter (written to the industry, as well as readers, writers, and - well - everyone who cares).

Seconded!
👇🏼That Goldsmiths time of year. Best thing about being on the 2024 shortlist was the friends I made, all of them fucking great writers. Hope this year's crew enjoy that as much as we did!
We are delighted to announce the #GoldsmithsPrize2025 shortlist.

Congratulations to our six brilliant novelists!
