I got my cats a stupid tunnel and it’s horrifically ugly and they love it to bits. Such is life.

I don’t know who wants this, but I’ve painstakingly built a Letterboxd list with all 40 years of Film Independent Spirit Award winners and nominees, with categories nominated for and won in the notes. Fixed some errors in their PDF but I’m sure made my own minor ones too. Enjoy??? It’s 1400 films.
40 Years of Nominees & Winners: FILM INDEPENDENT SPIRIT AWARDS
Excluding television nominations and winners, including both narrative and documentary features. In order by release year with categories in notes.  For BONNIE Award and any individually-awarded grant...

Dunno man, I’ve no serious and angry complaints just think sometimes it’s not your day, you have bad luck, etc. Limited chances really well and almost perfectly executed a corner routine to score, made a few good chances via deep crosses, etc. It is what it is.

I feel like we’ve conceded ones like that thatve stood — there’s that view of the GK looking straight at the ball and diving for it regardless of Robbo’s positioning. Get why it was chalked off like but don’t understand why half the time they’re not.

Sunderland look frightening you know. Credit to themselves.

My fave new gen AI advert is the woman asking Gemini about flowers in a flower stall and whether the one it suggests will last to the weekend rather than the more obvious thing: talking to the human vendor who’s been completely removed from the advert.

Mamdani in New York is eh demographically comparable to Ireland actually but I hope those two extremely popular election results scare every centrist and democrat in the game. An overwhelming number of people voted for Catherine Connolly and Zohran Mamdani. Figure out why.

My fave ever social media interaction I think is Conor Bradley posting photos from yesterday just saying he had a nice time and then Hugo Ekitiké commenting saying (and I quote)

“Thanks”

There’s a stoppage time Trent cross that was going out for a throw in because it was awful, and then Vini went for it and pretended to somehow get a deep internal wound off Bradley shielding it? Got fuckall. That specific move is something I want tattooed in my brain
November 5, 2025 at 10:36 AM
It was kind of Xabi to bring Trent on just when people may have been feeling fatigued in the ground. Nothing helped defend a 1-0 more than getting to boo the fella who left. My biggest BOO opinion is cynical: mates it actively helped the team win. I would do worse to help the team win.

Liverpool looked good against Real Madrid but what’s most important is that every single player outplayed his man. Whoever he was (bar Courtois) the man in red was miles better. It’s breathtaking. And all the songs are boss.
November 5, 2025 at 9:52 AM
Mamardashvili had to make no saves really against Real Madrid really but he was massive on two occasions and if that goalkeeper isn’t him or Alisson or Kelleher we would’ve been fucked. Come a long long way re: goalkeepers
November 5, 2025 at 9:43 AM
Wirtz is (not actually but MATE) cursed bc seeing that Courtois save at 28’? Insanity. What a ball that was
November 5, 2025 at 9:26 AM
Watching the game again in full and fuck me they don’t half spend their time diving don’t they? That Vini leap to the ground at 6’ is insane. So proud of Bradley for staying on top of it.

Gutted that Mamdani must now go from “man I’m enthused about” to “politician we must all hold accountable.” Great stuff happening there though, what a happy day.
November 5, 2025 at 7:49 AM
I think there’s room for both booing and singing songs to make a point. It’s worth remembering that there’s loads of bigger things in the world than who a player plays for and someone being upset he doesn’t play for your team vocally is pretty fine actually. Why is the debate “small team”?
Whereas pointed "Steve Gerrard" chants earn my hearty endorsement
I tend to think booing former players is small-club mentality. But to each their own.

Don’t let those dickheads breathe for a second, Slot said. Make them argue with each other.
Slot (Amazon) on LFC defending vs Real Madrid: "I said the only thing I don't want is a mid-block, because these two up front have deep runs, unbelievable timing, incredible pace - Vinicius and Mbappe - so we either press them really high or we're in a low block."

Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

I completely missed the absolutely meaningful nature of Conor Bradley putting in a performance like that on the day Alexander-Arnold returned. Bradley’s performance is a statement for his current team, but it’s hard to avoid The Narrative. Happy to be on the positive side.
