thinking out loud… as an unemployed early career scientist I get a lot of review requests, all of which I turn down & let the editor know I need to dedicate my full energy to finding academic employment (beyond true!) BUT I keep thinking I would accept a fair number if it were an income stream… 🧪👩🏻‍🔬🧠

Sure, but also baking is literally RIGHT THERE. 😂 So much chemistry involved. I was not good at chemistry or baking but when the chemistry of baking was explained, I got better at baking.

Also with hair coloring. All of these involve science and are good options when its cold out

When the Supreme Court allowed immigration agents to consider race during sweeps, Justice Brett Kavanaugh said that citizens shouldn’t be concerned because agents will “promptly let the individual go.”

For these Americans, that wasn’t true.

Yoooo so Amazon actually delivered my filing cabinet ahead of schedule, still no delivery updates on all my other supplies.

I unpack the cabinet, which means I have to destroy the box and styrofoam packing. Only to find that a corner is dented, preventing the top drawer from opening/closing
I realized I needed a better continuous light/key light & agonized over that decision too. I went to be after 4am finalizing this massive cart.

Only for Amazon to tell me my package delivery of all this stuff is delayed & no delivery date can be provided. 🤦🏻‍♀️
