RESIST

Like your lives depend on it

The single most important thing we can do today is protest. Visible protest.

It’s so upsetting what’s happening, and here’s the kicker: “thousands of people still trapped in a system that profits from their suffering.”

Some days, morning exercise is invigorating. And others it’s like phew I worked out, surely nothing else can be expected of me today.

My kids are never more Canadian than when they order pancakes/waffles abroad and express their horror and dismay at the not-real-maple syrup served alongside. And they can always, always tell.

old Soviet joke for our times:

Guy stops by the newsstand every day, scans the front page, doesn’t buy the paper. One day the vendor asks what he’s up to.

Guy says: “looking for an obituary.”

Vendor says “those are towards the back of the paper, comrade.”

Guy says: “not the one I’m looking for.”

Hey everyone -- Moms of Liberty and Dept of Education launched a snitch line portal today to rat out teachers and anyone promoting anything DEI.

FLOOD THE PORTAL

Spam the hell out of it.

Pass it on! It works!

It’s actually extremely liberating to realize that you don’t need to always be shopping. You probably don’t need that stuff!

The U.S. has two tsunami warning centers, both operated by NOAA. Employees were terminated from these centers today. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center covers Hawaiʻi, and now it is less safe to be near the beach.

Tyranny requires your fear and your silence and your compliance.

Democracy requires your courage.

So gather your justice and humanity, Illinois, and do not let despair overcome us when our country needs us the most.

A simple chart to explain why Elon Musk spent $290 million to buy the election for Trump so he could take control of the government.

It's not about cutting waste.
It's about killing investigations.

If you're protesting tomorrow:

"I invoke my rights to silence and counsel and will not answer questions without my attorney present."

MEMORIZE THAT, because aside from asking if you're free to leave (or providing ID if you're in a stop and ID state), that's the ONLY thing you ever say to cops.

If someone chooses to live in a smaller home in the inner city in part to avoid a long commute, they generally don’t pressure society to build them a bigger house with more stuff. So if you choose a bigger stuff-filled house in the suburbs, don’t expect society to build you a fast car commute.
