The last two days things have been dripping, melting, running down streets and gutters...all in preparation for the snow/rain expected/forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

Very proud to announce the Department of Health will now process all requests to change gender designation on birth certificates within three business days. Previously, there was as much as a 10 month wait.

The sun is out so, despite the biting wind and frigid temperatures, it cheers me. Also, it is not snowing. Spent the afternoon clearing out "stuff" and now have NO books on the floor. Temporary I am sure.

Balmy today at -3° and the sun may appear! Offspring returned from Fla., last night so a week of taking turns grandcat sitting is at an end. I can now resume my usual pattern of knitting at home!

Back from groceries and making preparations for the possible snow coming our way. This involves an overnight bag in case we get 20-30cms overnight. After feeding daughter's cat I'll stay over so she won't have to wait for breakfast while we get dug out tomorrow morning!

A quick stop at the dry goods fabric store for two basic items seems to have morphed into this... I can only assume magic of some sort.
