Not a cultural studies reader, but devoured this book over the last week. As someone coming of age in 2000 this was particularly interesting as most of the pop artists mentioned in it are familiar and indeed...it's the same folks that have been around already 15+ years ago.

Pity that this master programme 'environmental humanities' won't see the light of the day. I understand the budgetary constraints the faculty is facing (and the political context atm in NL). But it's somewhat ironic that in communicating this the language of ecology is used (duurzaamheid) 1/3

You could say the same thing about inflation: difficult to define, hence difficult to measure, and thus difficult to control.

The parallels to the GFC are eerie, just everything more amplified: opaque funding with little chance for investors to redeem, with assets (GPUs) supposedly backing all of this that depreciate too fast to service debt/make investors whole.
