Yes! The Oxford-Cambridge bus service takes on average a painful 4hrs - absolutely ridiculous considering how short the direct distance is between the two cities.

Don't forget a new direct train line though - particularly useful for academic to academic travel.
If we’re going to establish a ‘growth corridor’ between Cambridge and Oxford, we need an expressway to link the two cities. How can there be a growth corridor without a direct route? See my colleague @mannvirdee.bsky.social’s latest for #BritainsWorld... www.britainsworld.or...

Taking a bit longer to reach clean power is no bad thing if it means doing it right. A rushed transition may hinder future grid development. That could increase environmental impacts, harm industrial competitiveness and raise energy bills.
