Not a single Democratic Senator who voted NO on surrender with strongly worded posts, statements, emails, videos etc has publicly called on Schumer to resign as the Leader of the Democratic caucus. It’s telling. They are all mostly cowards - followers of public opinions instead of being leaders.
Here are the at least 6 House Democrats, 3 Democratic-aligned organizations, and 4 Democratic Senate candidates calling for Chuck Schumer to resign as leader:

🚨 Tim Kaine is saying the quiet part out loud - underscoring why anyone shouldn't be satisfied with any of the "no" statements or posts from Dem Senators.
If Dem Senators are truly disgusted with this save they should be calling on #SurrenderSchumer to step aside as the Leader immediately.

(🚨) NEW at PROOF: Do I go off here? Yes. Is it warranted? Yes. Do I explain *exactly* why this Senate deal must be seen as the rankest treachery? Yes.
Events Since the Traitorous Eight Caved Confirm That They Screwed Tens of Millions of Americans Over for Nothing
Betraying your promises, your values, your party and your countrymen is bad enough—but getting nothing in return makes the capitulation of eight Senate Democrats to a ghoul a truly grotesque display.

Every @democrats.senate.gov who does not denounce #DumpChuckSchumer and the #CaveCaucus members, and do not support removing Schumer from leadership must themselves be removed at primary time and replaced. Those who sit silent while The Schumer Losers buff 47's shoes must be held accountable.
PS/ It's not just that these cowards caved. It's not just that a December Senate deal won't pass the House, so ACA subsidies are gone now. It's not just that America was with the Dems. It's not just that this makes Trump seem strong. To cut this shitty deal, these schmucks *defied logic repeatedly*.

Giving pardon powers to the single person was a relic of Kings, and ill-conceived. Mercy and clemency should be part of any system of justice. Perhaps a panel of retired judges would be better. At least they would be likely to be less political, or use pardons as a political patronage system. /1
The existence of the presidential pardon alone is proof the vaunted founders created a world class shitty constitution

Indeed. Until progressives in the Senate Democratic caucus directly challenge Schumer’s leadership it’s kind of hard to take their grousing seriously at this point. They are all in on this #SchumerSurrender politics.
Hey just a reminder that it only takes 23 Senate Democrats to remove and replace Chuck Schumer as minority leader. They don't do it because the majority of Senate Democrats approve of the way he does politics.

Schumer MUST be removed. Any other Dem would be better than this Neville Chamberlain coward.

You should call for new leadership in your party. Unless you do that this no vote is just performative and your words are meaningless as you keep being a “team player.” Enough of this kabuki.

Exactly this - the “no” votes from within the Senate Democratic caucus will be kabuki as there will be performative outrage from few who don’t have any desire to be challenge Schumer and leadership for the sake of being “team players”
“Most of the Democratic leadership will likely vote against it.”
That’s the trick they pulled back in March too. Schumer tallied up all the votes to get the funding passed but most Dems were allowed to vote against it for the sake of appearances.

How can one tell that @schumer.senate.gov’s fingerprints are all over another surrender to Trump/Republcians? The 2 key Sen Dems driving this deal - Masto and Peters - are former DSCC chairs. So don’t fall for it if Sen Leaders take show vote against it. They all own the #SchumerSurrender

@democrats.senate.gov #DumpChuckSchumer for his #SchumerSurrender ... Dems do no deserve leadership because they know nothing about exercising power as nastily as need to delivered to destroy the foe GOP. Senate Dems who protect #dumpChuckSchumer must be removed.

If the Senate Dems keep #DumpChuckSchumer after this debacle, the Dems deserve to continue losing elections... it is that simple. The failing Dems do not know how to wield power. Starve them at the contributions box.

The air traffic control slowdown? It is intended to bully the American public and the Dem "leadership" [cue the Neville Chamberlain theme song] into caving and giving the 47th diaper what he wants. This is a war. Fight like it is one #dumpchuckschumer and #dumphakeemjeffries GOP must surrender.

Trump will not leave office voluntarily.
The GOP and Trump will go to any length to maintain control of Congress next year.
I won't say that either of these is 100% certain, but it's close.

2026 midterms will be “free but not fair,” warns @garrykasparov.bsky.social. “Look at their actions,” he warns. “They're not afraid of losing power because they don’t intend on losing power.” His advice for Democrats: Be more aggressive. #Velshi
Kasparov’s warning: All signs indicate Trump will not give up power voluntarily
Former Soviet dissident Garry Kasparov says everything about the Trump administration’s behavior suggests it has no intention of giving up power voluntarily. He starkly warns of “free but not fair” midterm elections in 2026. “They’re sharpening this tool that is aimed at the very heart of American democracy.”

There is a reason why so called impartial (traditional corporate) media platforms keep losing their credibility and they keep taking the wrong turns to fix the problem w/ more corrosive/destructive impact on the traditional media landscape writ large.
The problem is leaders of other news outlets (and of CBS in its pre-Weiss era) didn't attack this problem head on. Instead of exposing their critics, they tried to falsify the criticism with overdone solicitude for conservative audiences. Now they're stranded. www.offmessage.net/p/democrats-...
