This is my BIGGEST critique of higher ed…why are we doing such meaningful work for it to be placed behind a paywall??? How can the research help and transform when it costs researchers THOUSANDS to create open access opportunities???
Not saying this would change everything but sure would be nice to get open access to scholarly journals as a K-12 teacher

This last year of my PhD program is something else…teaching, grading, dissertating, applying for jobs, and dealing with mental illness on top of everything else crumbling is just so freaking much.

On Sundays we hike and read the Adventure Bible somewhere on the trail. We started doing this last spring because our AuDHD kiddos couldn’t handle the structure of church/Sunday school anymore. This has been an amazing experience for our family, plus we get to be in community in places like this:

Do they make silent bathtubs? I think someone should invent a silent bathtub for those with hearing sensitivities. One of my kiddos absolutely LOATHES bath time because of the noise of the tub. A silent/quiet bath tub would be a complete game changer. #randommamathoughts
