So back in June Alex Padilla was tackled and detained by ICE for trying to ask a question at a press conference. The story from the administration was he attacked her.
Fast forward 7 months, Maxwell Frost attacked, Ilhan Omar attacked. Not a peep from the media about "turning down the rhetoric". 🙄

ICE’s excuse for wearing masks has never actually manifested
There have been incidents of harassment and threats. But there are no apparent incidents in which identified ICE officers have been assaulted off-duty.

This is part of the authoritarian playbook - create so many outrages that it's hard and exhausting to prioritize them. Then the serious breaches go by in the crowd.
