I don’t have sufficient words to express how much Renée has shaped me as a writer and teacher and (I hope) as a person. She mentored me during my first draft of my first novel and she was incisive, witty and had high expectations of me. Moe mai rā, Renée xxx 💔

Author and playwright Renée dies, aged 94
Renée only started writing seriously after she turned 50 - using her first name as "the only one she felt was hers".

Native skink colony! Many of our lizard species are endangered. Awesome to see a young herpetologist in the making doing such awesome conservation work!
Rare native skink colony discovered by nine-year-old
A rustle in the grass led an observant nine-year-old to discover a rare colony of Hawke's Bay skinks, which were previously thought to have only survived in one fenced area.

Don't really understand why the pharmacist thinks I suddenly need less insulin? As it happens, being sick, I need twice as much. Have thus far only ever found pharmacists to be a barrier to good care.

I've been at a family funeral and around lots of family for three days without masking and now I'm sick. As an avid mask wearer usually, this is my first respiratory illness in almost 4 years. Feeling especially pro mask right now and also feeling like absolute shit
