I like how Pokémon fans keep saying that they miss asshole rivals when they haven’t been a thing since Gen 2. 😑
i miss our rivals being absolute asshats :( leaf green was my very first mainline Pokémon game, and Gary will always have a special place in my heart. It just isn't as fun competing with someone who doesn't hate my guts (or at least pretends to).
