Genuinely couldn’t tell if a video of an explosion in a fireworks factory in Yolo County, CA was AI-generated fake news or not. Right down to the “LiveCopter” chyron.

(It appears to be real.)

Every single Democratic elected who represents NYC should be proudly endorsing Zohran Mamdami, who won the primary fair & square. They should be helping him however he & his team ask.

If they mealy-mouth it or, worse, stand with Cuomo, *they* will be why people hate the party.

This is in fact precisely the wrong way to use AI. A better approach:

If you have zero education, but learn how to ask AI models the right questions , in many jobs you will be able to outperform someone with an advanced degree, but who is unwilling to use Large Language Models.

Just takes a smartphone, curiosity to experiment and a mindset to learn.

The sign says little and achieves nothing.

It is useless, like the party that congratulates itself for such a shallow gesture.

This is not fighting.
The sign says it all.

Democrats are standing up for the middle class by fighting the Trump administration’s disastrous policies.

All these Senate confirmations of truly terrible and unqualified humans really brings into perspective just how fucking awful the Matt Gaetz stuff must have been.

A pretty good rule of thumb is to never ask AI a question you don’t already know the answer to, or to do a task you couldn’t do yourself in less than a minute or two.

Basic summarization of an article? Fine. A more approachable version of this company name for an intro email? Fine.

As the Duane Reade on my block started locking stuff, I went in less and less. After they padlocked the Diet Coke 6 months ago, I stopped going entirely.

I picked up a prescription a couple of weeks ago. The fridges are unlocked again, but it’s too late. When I want a snack, I head elsewhere.
