FOX NEWS: So what would Trumpcare look like?

DR OZ: Well, these are all ideas that we're still working on

@senangusking.bsky.social Is this part of the deal you brokered? It's absolutely unacceptable. I will email your office to ask that you address this issue and explain it. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Tucked into a spending bill that is part of the deal to end the government shutdown is a provision that would allow GOP senators to personally sue the federal government for as much as $500K over Special Counsel Jack Smith’s lawful search of their phone records.

Indeed.
If, according to Trump, the government doesn’t have the tariff money available to refund all of it if he loses the lawsuit before SCOTUS, how can he be talking about giving away trillions in $2,000 checks?

The numbers of people who A) don’t know the ACA and Obamacare are the same thing (my co-worker), or B) don’t understand that they received Federal Subsidies to make their premiums affordable is staggering.

Democracy depends on an informed and engaged electorate.

When I called Angus’s office, I ended my call with “and I will do everything in my power to ensure that no King is ever elected again in Maine. They can’t be trusted.”
Angus might be safe from voter recourse. His kid isn’t.

Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

3/3 Oh, don’t get me wrong; we are in a BAD f*cking spot in this country. I am very clear-eyed about that.

I am also clear…that these are the moments when you fight the hardest…and adopt the “Oh, we WILL prevail!” mindset…or…defeat is guaranteed.

There will be another 60 vote Friday* on the garbage shutdown deal. If we can convince just one Senator from the 52 republicans and 8 Dems that voted yes to flip, we could still stop this. Please jump on the phone today, call them, and share this widely.

*If all goes by the regular schedule

A complete betrayal of Maine people. Senator King has doomed millions to unaffordable health insurance.

Call Angus. Tell him to fight for affordable healthcare.
To be clear: the deal they voted on to move forward last night still needs to be formally voted on in the Senate and House. If the eight are your senators, they should be hearing from you this morning!

Angus King sold us out. Call his offices today and let him know that this is a betrayal.
We need elected officials who will fight. Those of us who depend on the ACA for our health insurance will spend 20-50% of our income on healthcare.

Hey @durbin.senate.gov, public school teacher and wife of a veteran here. I just want you to know that I’m ashamed of you and your failure to represent the good and decent people of my home state.
Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

They should have indefinitely shut down the government until the GOP agreed to their demands, the GOP ended the filibuster, the 2026 election, or the start of a full-fledged civil war.
