The oldest book in our #Erasmus catalogue will be this 1514 Paris edition of Seneca's tragedies, printed and edited by the humanist printer Jodocus Badius (1462-1535), with contributions from Erasmus & others. Find out more the book and its provenance on our website.

paper i cut short grain that's just a mm too wide for my color printer. ink smears when it catches+ and having to reprint + go through the whole rigamaroll when it jams. turning the paper all different orientations as I transition them between machines. and perhaps most stupidly NO PAGE NUMBERS

foolishly created a typeset design with my computer that needs to go through my printers up to 6 times per sheet.

What could go wrong? i thought to myself, forgetting all the times i had previously been punished for my hubris

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

I'm working with different textures in the designs for the Red Rising bindings so I decided to make physical mockups to see how everything works together.
The title was added digitally.

Put all my leftover bookbinding bits into use for well, more books, but teeny tiny ones!
Very minimal waste across all the materials i've bought for them inrecent years, pretty happy about that.

Playing around with dyeing some thread for bookbinding using fountain pen ink.
The pink is Diamine Purple Dream and the blue is Jacques Herbin Vert Atlantide.
This isn't actually dye and it isn't waterfast, but then neither are books.

Also good point about the books not being waterproof either 😂
