Stuck in Gare de Lyon, as the TGV that was supposed to leave over an hour ago, is still on the platform. However, the station's restaurant did not disappoint!

Final days of hacking at @elixir-europe.org #BioHackEU25! Project #5: Bidirectional bridge: GitHub ⇄ bio.tools making slow but steady progress on translating research software metadata between these two platforms. Always a great opportunity to learn new things and get to know new people as well.
✨ We're halfway through #BioHackEU25!
This afternoon, all projects will present their 🎯 goals and challenges they’ve encountered and seek expertise from participants.

To my metabolomics friends: what is the closest to a FASTA file for small molecules? Something with PubChem or perhaps ChEBI identifiers in a metadata header followed by a SMILES or some other structural representation?

This may be AI generated, but I think the idea is brilliant. If you had trouble to stay awake in history class, this is guaranteed to help you fall asleep: youtu.be/v3vj74019H0?.... Unfortunately, I am too interested in history for this to work on me. Maybe quantum mechanics would work? 🤔

The timsOmni is one massive Swiss Army knife for top-down proteomics of protein complexes and complex PTMs. Impressive new data presented this morning at the Nordic Conference in Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics in Odense. Ion activation network allows (in theory) 125 types of MS^4 experiments.

Just reheated some lemon-ricotta ravioli in the microwave (😮, I know), and the lemon flavor is so much more pronounced that when first boiling them. Is this a known phenomenon, or have I discovered an entirely new field of chemistry?

Who said Wikipedia editors lack a sense of humor? How about this little gem: "However, the rocket activity in Sweden did not gain thrust until after ESRO established Esrange in 1964." (from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esrange).
