AI is becoming more and more prevalent and it is here to stay … I am annoyed with AI in automated answering … it never seems to know how to help … kids are using it to answer questions so they don’t have to read or do the learning activity … the process of learning can’t be skipped #bfc530

This is why education can no longer be about the outcomes, scores, or grades. We need to begin to truly understand education as a partnership that requires both teacher and learner to be engaged in the learning process with an understanding that there is no end. #bfc530
A4 I am a new player of video games (much later in life than normal) and each time I pick up a controller I am reminded of what it means to be a learner. Opportunities to fail are followed by another try. Success means bigger and better things. I ❤️ the journey I am on!

I saw a demo of an AI tool and was struck by how quickly it turned learning into the old textbook format of teaching. Passage to read, questions to answer, test to take...How are we ensuring this does not become "the way", especially for new teachers overwhelmed by a burdened system?

We are at the point where anyone on a visa, with a green card, etc. should go nowhere alone. If they do go somewhere they need to be surrounded by groups of people. I envision teams of peaceful students walking in groups with potentially targeted students in the middle ..

First Draft using Adobe Express. Layout and design needs tweaking, but overall it's a good first draft to be used as an example. Excellent activity for first day of term/year to begin building community and confidence.

The hardest thing about teaching - continuing to work in and perpetuate a system we know does not serve all kids. We have been at the precipice of needing a complete overhaul for decades. Fundamental change needed as a system, not piecemeal w/ teachers.
