We will not be distracted.
We will not be discouraged.
We’ve got our eyes on the prize.

And we will build the prosperous, free nation for all that we deserve.

The time to organize is now.

They’re not going to get out of this by playing semantics.

Sending detailed information about an upcoming military strike on unclassified channels (and even to the wrong guy) is wrong, reckless, and obviously a threat to American troops.

PS I'd also love it if you'd request it for your library! There's even a nice hardcover library edition.
Ooh, I see the cover's already up on retailer sites. Hope you'll preorder my contemporary fantasy about a 40-something midwife whose hands suddenly begin to glow. (There's a romance, too.) Out November 2025. Blurb and preorder links. rubylangwrites.com/the-glowing-...

I told my coworker the Horny Boat Show was like a "Sexed up Love Boat with a dash of Quincy." In other words, it's a delight.

Today was the release of my 51st book. CATCHING A HACKER is my 52nd completed work, my 16th book for Harlequin. The fact that I am making myself post this on social media proves I'm much better at reciting stats than celebrating wins, but I may let Fodder take me out for a milkshake.
Happy day.

I'm back to blogging on my website. No subscription or app required. No email collection. Just me babbling about my books and bread. Come by and indulge in a good, old-fashioned read with optional comment exchange. maggie-wells.com/2025/02/20/w...

No big developments or anything, but a couple of conversations I’ve had this week are making me feel more positive about my publishing career than I have in a while. I’m going to make an effort to embrace the good vibes.

It's rainy and cold, so we made chicken & dumplings for dinner. Now, I'm settling in to watch Matlock. Just imagine how much fun I will be when I actually am 75 years old.

I wish there were some effort by the publishing world to build/boost midlist authors who have been successful enough to sell/publish book after book for more than a decade, but have never really “broken through.” Who is on your “sleeper” shelf? #skywriters

Spent the first 45 minutes of my day online with UHC about a bill I received for lab work on my annual pelvic. Since this is 100% covered by ACA, I went full-on Allen Iverson on them - but rather than saying 'This is practice, man!" I changed it to, "This is a Pap smear, man."
I amuse myself.

Hey, @schumer.senate.gov — I can’t hear you?!? Or are you too busy with “statesmanship” to save YOUR constituents?
We’ve been on the phone with multiple agencies/orgs. They’ve been completely cut off from federal money. We’re talking housing, homeless services, public safety, etc.

I’m calling a press conference today to explain how this could have drastic local impacts to our constituents.

If you have a MS 365 Personal subscription, and receive a notice of a price increase, be aware that the renewal increase is to continue with 365+AI. If you do not want the $99 plan and do not need/want AI, you can cancel (not switch) this plan and choose Personal w/o AI for $69.

Last night's conversation about editorial requests got me how it was when I was new to the industry. If you are just getting your first taste of editorial feedback, here is my unsolicited advice:
I had a scene in a rural sheriff’s office in southern Georgia. The officer pulled a file from a desk drawer. NY editor informed me it was 2020 and all offices are paperless. I made the change because it was a minor point, but included a photo of my Arkansas employer’s drawers of paper files.
