There was a time, when MrsJ worked nights, when a packet of these and a bottle of red wine would be my evening meal.
And now YOU want some too...

Pay what you want for digital albums over at Awesome Tapes From Africa if you still want to spend some of your #BandcampFriday pennies. I mean, with a label name like that you can't go wrong can you?
Awesome Tapes From Africa
Awesome Tapes From Africa began as a blog in 2006 and has grown into a label that expands musicians careers and builds bridges.

Nice to see what AI thinks an indoor market in February in a North Wales village will look like.

And that it can't decide whether this person is coming or going.

Went to look at a simply unbelievable huge collection yesterday. Left with 200 LP’s & only had time to look through a fraction of the approx 10,000 records so will be returning for seconds next week & probably thirds, fourths, fifths in the weeks to come

Is rhe chat knowledgeable? No
Is the mixing brilliant? Also no.

Wasn't going to look at the the RSD list because I haven't wanted anything from the previous ten or so, but I see there's a vinyl release of the Adrienne Lenker Live at Revolution Hall thing from last year 😍

Also, "You Are The Generation That Bought More Shoes And You Get What You Deserve" by Johnny Boy.
Deleted a post about “what’s your least favorite song” because the vibes are bad enough already.

Instead: what’s your favorite song that has a long title, say at least 6 words long?

Mine: “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town” (Pearl Jam)

Top of my head, "Pigs That Ran Straightaway Into The Water, Triumph Of" by the Mountain Goats.

Got MUBI subs for a quid so I’ve been catching up with some fillums. La Chimera is compelling and profound - an absolutely fantastic movie; Die My Love is bleak and beautiful, and The Apartment remains one of the greats.
Any MUBI reccies, film folks?

OK, this is great. Everything works. Bonus points for respecting the original arrangement and lyric (e.g. 'Marilyn French'). It may be from a junket but it's hardly a trifle and significantly more enjoyable than a blancmange. 🥁 #Pulp #ABBA www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Wd1...

Just a reminder that on Bluesky blocking doesn't unfollow, so you might look like you're following him because you've blocked before unfollowing.
If you're unsure, unblock, unfollow, reblock.
Whole lot of you following Neil Gaiman, and I assume it's because you forgot you did so and he stopped posting when it was revealed he is a rapist.

Since he's trying to make a return, do yourself a favour and check if you're following @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com and if so unfollow and block.
