I’m not attending Worldcon this year & everything seems to be a mess but this is so mind-bendingly bad on so many levels that I think it’s worth unpacking while I’m in the no-space of airports

Here we ask the question: Why do authors/bookshops assume the only way to have a strong woman lead is to make them gay with a woman love interest and prevent men characters from rising over the background? Isn't it possible to have a book with strong women and men characters in it and not have them fall in love?

An absolute dream come true to announce my debut adult fantasy, THE MAIDEN AND HER MONSTER, a sapphic reimagining of the Jewish myth of golem, will be published by Tor Books and Tor UK in Fall 2025!
