Hired a babysitter to watch the kids for a few months. She got bored and got her parents and their rich friends to knock down my shed and build a pool. WTF! Why can't you just watch the kids like I asked?

@harrylitman.bsky.social if SCOTUS says conversion therapy can't be limited due to speech rights, would that mean lawyers can advise their clients to break the law and CPAs can advise to not pay taxes, both to the detriment of their clients, and have no legal repercussions?

Everyone should read this to understand what the US government is paying for. Don't forget that only 32 of the 238 people sent there had been convicted of a crime and most of those were non violent crimes.

@smerconish.bsky.social your caller this morning saying [Hamas is] "afraid of what Trump is going to do" is the point. People that disagree with Trump are afraid of what he is going to do to them inside or outside the border. He doesn't show his hand; legally or morally it's all on the table.

Remind me of this when he is caught covering up assaults, rapes, and deaths in these deportation holding camps, and concealing the people that were involved.

New in PN: Tulsi Gabbard and Trump's scheme to gut the intel agencies

"It’s easy to see why Trump sees value in putting a stake in the heart of the intelligence agencies. From his perspective, the risk they'll uncover wrongdoing by him, or the authoritarian leaders he identifies with, is too great"
Tulsi Gabbard and Trump's scheme to gut the intel agencies
It's hard to envision a less suited intelligence chief. That’s a feature, not a bug.

Routine childhood vaccination rates have been declining precipitously in recent years.

The MMR vaccine is one of the most important. Today 14 states have an MMR vaccination rate for kindergartners of less than 90%. In 2019, just 3 did.

I don't understand the upside for Smith and DOJ. I keep telling myself there's some win from this but I've been let down so much.
In the classified documents case, on appeal to the 11th Circuit, the Special Counsel dismisses the case as to Trump but proceeds as to his co-defendants, which will continue until his new AG dismisses the case or Trump pardons them. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Prediction: companies will increase pre-tariff inventories and consumers will increase bulk buying. Companies will increase prices as if tariffs already began because... Profit. Buying will slow, prices will be lowered to get rid of product, production will drop and layoffs begin.

Please be aware that a weak federal government and the dismantling of agencies that enforce the law will allow single party red states to violate the civil rights of their residents, as had been tried for years.
