Britain is broken.

Reform’s answer is like fracking: widen the cracks so the rich elites can extract anything of value , while we’re distracted by division.

The Greens are kintsugi: repairing what’s broken, filling the cracks with value, and holding communities together.

Ok folks, we are all fed up with the damage do to this country by 14 years if tory rule, which is being continued by the current Labour gov.

Effectively 17 years of decay, desimation of public services and social devision has all but destroyed what was a great country to live in.

Fantastic podcast, clear, eloquently and succinct.

Well worth a listen by anyone who wants a better or more accurate picture of migration in the UK.

Took a while, but finally managed to watch this.

Powerful speech, which appears to be backed up by action. This is what the UK needs, not the spinless appeasement we are getting from our next to useless government.

Hypothetical question, but given the accelerated pace of decline of the US gestapo, how long before there is an equivalent to the French Resistance (which gets scary in a country where guns can be bought from to local supermarket).

Myra Hindley was treated better.

As a minimum Bergum should be brought back to the UK, tried for any crimes she may have committed, and more importantly be given help for the damage done via the grooming she incountered.

Being made stateless, even via a loophole, is not acceptable.
Begum may be 'distasteful', but it is pretty clear she was a victim of grooming and trafficking. The decision to make her defacto stateless is also clearly incompatibile with the principles of international law. Labour doubling down doesn't change that it is bad. 1/2

They are either fracking pervs, or will be using appearance only, which will result in many people beyound their target group, being excluded. Neither is good.
‘Gender critical’ transphobes are now just openly advertising the fact they want to be the genital inspector Karen! 😆

They’re so immersed in their own transphobic hate bubble, they don’t even realise how bad this makes them look!

Hmm, so if the buss timetable is thrown out and the destination changes to the opposite direction, whist one is on tge bus, any sensible person would get off and find another route.

Not really rocket science.
Political parties aren't taxis that you hire to take you to your individual destination.

They're buses.

You pick the one that's going closest to where you want to go.

As a cis man it doesn't feel right for me to sign this, in fact doing so could do more harm than good.

So instead I am sharing it in the hope that a few more cis women sign and a few more cis men share it.

(In all honesty my reach is not that great, so I am relying on others to also share this.)

For those on the family route, i.e. spouse visas, assuming that the proposed changes are applied retrospectively (meaning applied to those already in the UK but not yet reached ILR), some of these changes are worrying.

None of it is particularly clear, and will create a lot of unnecessary stress.
The UK government's proposals on changes to settlement (indefinite leave to remain) rules have now been published in a consultation paper, ahead of a statement from the Home Secretary to MPs shortly www.gov.uk/government/c...

There is jo such thing as illegal migration.

There is regular migration, whereby the person arrives in the country with a visa, and irregular migration whereby the person arrives without a visa - that's it.
Deep breath, once more for those at the back, seeking asylum is not illegal. No matter route used, which considering Labour has closed pretty much all the last remaining alternatives means irregular ones.
Anti-immigration sentiments are stoked by politicians like Mahmood, not people seeking safety.

The fact that someone has even proposed such a bill leaves me livid, devastated (I am married to a wonderful filipino) and utterly disgusted.

This is NOT the country I grew up in and until the last few years have been so proud to be a citizen of.
