For some words it’s simply impossible for me to remember how they are spelled. Example I just came across: necessarily
I randomly put one or two c, s, and r and then also randomly put c or s first. I really don’t know how people wrote texts before autocorrect

Worst thing about November in Oslo is not that the world looks like this but that half the city is out there going for a run at 7.30am pretending this is acceptable running weather (yes I’m just jealous of their self discipline)

Much fewer people have moved from Germany to the US this year compared to the past years (Fortzüge is those who migrated GER—>US, Zuzüge is US—>GER). Last time we saw such a decrease (besides Covid) was 2017 👀

The main question is: why do Europe and the US/Canada do it at different (but close) points in time??

Oslo is more progressive than Munich by most standards I think, but being vegetarian or vegan is definitely much easier in Munich. I was at Oktoberfest this weekend and they had more vegan options than the entire city of Oslo.

It is very hard for me not to cut and paste passages from my book into posts at this point. I have been told by my editor not to give away the goods. That said. The difference in scale of outrage between Attiah’s firing and Kimmel’s suspension proves a whole point about canaries and coal mines.
