Greens - Lower bills through nationalising our public services, wealth tax on assets and huge increase in investment in our public services.
Labour - ID Cards, random statements about flags and Austerity 2.0.
But apparently the Green Party are the "vibes era?"
Make it make sense!

Politics is in a vibes era. Nigel Farage and Zack Polanski are proof of that. But maybe Keir Starmer can take positivity from Ruben Amorim.

Technically competent as I am, and as stable as Ableton Live usually is for me, it sure is fun when it starts crashing repeatedly when I'm trying to hit a deadline. This happens to folks a lot! Maybe poor organising (by me), but there's definitely an air of cosmic bedevilement in urgent moments!

A sneaky weekend drop of the new GAME STUDIES STUDY BUDDIES, in which we spend 3 hours talking about a book that is 80 pages long! It's worth it, though, as few texts have been as impactful on how we talk about our present moment as Mark Fisher's CAPITALIST REALISM:

We keep hearing about “difficult choices” to justify spending cuts.
Real difficult choices are between heating and eating, paying your rent or your bills.
The government can make another choice, and it’s not difficult: tax the super-rich.

Please DSP devs, no more distortion/saturation plugins, I have Roar at home (Ableton Live).
(I know, not all DAWs have something as excellent as Roar, but fml I've seen something like 10+ distortions released in the last week)

At the start of my PhD programme I was given a couple hundred business cards. I probably gave out two of them at conferences etc. over time.
They are now woefully out of date, since I'm no longer a candidate but a fully-fledged doc.
They do make pretty good bookmarks though.

I've been spinning my wheels after a few setbacks, but a thing I've done recently is create themed days to stop choice paralysis about what I should be working on.
Admin Mondays!
Development Tuesdays!
Etc.
It has really helped (so far) in moving forward post-PhD.
