My good run of things not breaking has come to an end. January is going to be an expensive month:
- My treadmill frame has cracked
- Living room, dining room & garden lights have all decided to die at once
- 12 year old washing machine is on its last legs

My grandad’s old damaged Rollei is too expensive to refurbish, so my dad has also gifted me his Mamiya as well. He thinks he purchased it replace the Rollei just before retiring so it’s near-mint. Excited to shoot my first roll of 120 soon.

Continuing my plan to own physical copies of my fave albums (Youth by #Citizen) and also pick up the odd new one (erer by #Glitterer & The Art of Loving by #OliviaDean - which, although not my usual jam and I’m not the target audience, is really great. Her voice is amazing).

I was skeptical about Letterboxd’s Video Store, and this would have been a good opportunity for transparency (a bit like music streaming cost vs. artist royalties). Let’s face it, a sizeable portion of the rental price is going to the new shareholders.

This is probably fake but the obsession to wrack up crazy stats to be able to post about it online is deranged. Same for films. Nobody other than you gives a shit that you wasted your life watching the same film 50 times in a year. Some people are insufferable.

I’m on episode 4 of the new Stranger Things and it’s been quite dull so far. I don’t know whether it’s because I know the actor playing him is a Zionist POS and/or just because he’s a bad actor, but Will is noticeably even more annoying this season.
