I told myself I wouldn't focus on visuals for my new finance app but I gave in today. Not the final appearance but now I can get back to focusing on actual functionality

Why do all my apps on mac request "access to your local network"? Does Notion/Discord/Comet need to know what devices are on my LAN?

Now that the Vercel Ship recordings are up I can share this great snippet about "cohort personalization" within e-commerce using Next.js.

I've been trying out Dia after using Arc as my main browser for quite a while now. What messes with me the most is that I'm back to making 5,6,7 windows to manage different projects or tasks. Spaces were such a good feature for me and I sorely miss them 💔

I'd love to see AI agents pair with entry level devs to work on those issue traditionally handled by them: providing learning experiences along with efficiency.

A thought I had during @thisdotlabs.bsky.social livestream "The Future of AI Dev Tools..."

I just got back from my trip to New York to attend #VercelShip2025; what a great experience!

The web is evolving rapidly, and companies need engineers who can adapt and build for the future.
It's an exciting time to be building on and for the web!

Playing around with MCP servers, its surprisingly easy to set up. Can't wait to get my hands dirty making my own.

(I used github.com/modelcontext... here btw)

Check out the new navigator I added to my demos page. It was pretty tricking to get #view-transistions to work as seamlessly as I wanted but the result is pretty smooth for a #multi-page_app!

I love frequently opening devtools on websites to see if there are any cute easter eggs or secrets.

I found a commented out chunk of malicious code in suikagame.com that is hilariously obvious.

Just updated my homepage with some shader demos I’ve been working on ✨🌟💫 lukefloden.me

I made a #GLSL shader homage to the old OSX rainbow loading spinner. I'm going through thebookofshaders.com and did this as an exercise; "painting the fence" if you will.

TIL making a large element in front of many others with a blur filter is much more efficient than doing blurs on each element individually.

Even if the area being blurred is larger.

I’m curious about browser implementation. I noticed my homepage was slow on Firefox and safari but not chrome.
