Just submitted the final proofs for this book 😱

It's available to pre-order for March delivery if anyone is interested or wants to order it for a library ☺️

(Honestly had mixed feelings about not wanting to "let it go" but am also so ready to be done with it 🫣)

Back home from Manchester, where I had a great day at a British Association for Applied Linguistics SIG conference.
Catching up with old friends and colleagues after many years was a real treat, as was meeting new ones. Loved every second of it.

Still in awe of how Susan Hunston is able to get her complex messages across in an accessible manner without compromising academic rigour. That’s a genuine art and craft (yes, referencing Landau) of conferencing! Time well spent at @rc21project.bsky.social

Thrilled to see that, although commercial lexicography is on the verge of extinction, academic lexicographic projects are still being discussed at conferences! Ulrich Heidi’s research sounds fascinating.

GenAI is not going to replace human CL analysts but will likely augment and streamline their work. That’s my takeaway from @lanthony.bsky.social ‘s talk ooening the second day of @rc21project.bsky.social 🤖
