It's weird because I think anyone involved in a creative enterprise would feel unfairly judged if the quality of their output were assumed to be the result of laziness/lack of care.

It's okay to say something is bad, but you likely have no idea why it wound up that way! Maybe I'm just incompetent!
I am too mature to get mad if people don't like a game I like, but one launch review of FNV had as its opening sentence "the devs phoned this game in and did not give a fuck" and it makes steam come out of my ears to this day

I really liked this game. It's pretty short and you should totally play it.
Dissimulation is out now! It's a short rule discovery dungeon crawling puzzle game.

It's by me & @m-enderbug.bsky.social, will take about 20 minutes to play, is totally free, and can be played with a MIDI Controller or normal inputs!

The amount of racism in the Relooted reviews is sickening.
A bunch of assh*les clearly bought the game just to leave a negative review before getting refunded, and another bunch of assh*les are marking these reviews useful for them to be displayed a the top store.steampowered.com/app/3255890/...

Thinky Dailies is a daily puzzle game that follows the story of a curious protagonist! The Professor Layton games were a big inspiration when designing this puzzle adventure!

Hear me out. What if there was a game like Magic The Gathering but:

- Cards aren't bought. You craft them at home (lore, drawing, skills, etc).
- There's a free manual with restrictions you need to follow when making a card (to balance them).
- When playing with friends you actually trade cards.

I think this video does a good job at explaining something complex and scary here, how tech companies are increasing their debt, and the consequences that are likely to follow.

You know how Gmail and Google Docs will suggest how to continue a sentence?

I made a new document, wrote "Please make a copy of" (with the intention of following it with "this document"), and Google was like "I totally got this".

This has been wild. We announced the game, had thousands of players join this first season, even got featured on a Cracking the Cryptic video.

My highlight was seeing all the discord chats, people helping each other with hints and coming up with story theories.

We'll be back soon with Season 2!💛

I think gAI at game jams is *particularly* fucking gross. Game jams are all about celebrating creativity and cooperation. They're about trying a new skill, or working with someone new. They're about celebrating the joy of creation in all its messy, buggy, and most importantly, human glory.
GGJ spent all day yesterday arguing about this and have decided to do absolutely fuck all. They're whining that the gAI was maybe mistagged. Yet again their leadership is spineless and tiresome. EdJam26 will be platforming a local artists work (@clasticartistic.bsky.social) instead at our keynote.

The Global Game Jam theme reveal video has footage that looks very AI. They said if there's AI content in the video, it is completely unintentional.

They are pretty open about allowing AI and AI sponsors. So it wouldn't be such a long shot.

Finished Ghostwire Tokyo. I thought this one had a lot of personality. Despite the cluttered map and the horror elements, it kept my attention until the end.
